Analog this

I have so much stuff building up to put on this blog, I will be purging everything before the year is out. Really love these snaps taken in the Summer in London. Spent a lovely day eating Wagamama food and wondering aimlessly with Charlotte. We ended up in St James's park eating doughnuts.

Had some possible light leaks causing the film sprocket effect on the images.

Here's looking at you kid!

Travelling to work on the train can be a bore, so why not entertain yourself by staring at strangers and drawing them. A good tip from my experience is not to stare at them for too long as they become suspicious, and may give you a look that could kill.
You have been warned!

Birthday doodles!

Not my best piece of work, but I think I captured his cheeky smile.

Buffday!

Noah Turned One at the weekend. And I got a little snap happy with my Olympus OM10.

Cornbury Music Festival

In July a couple of my mates and I went to the Cornbury Music festival or Poshstock as some have called it. The weather was great all weekend, we listened and danced to some great music. Imelda May being one of the highlights. I also met some interesting people camping near to us who may or may not have given me fake names.Either way Angus,Flo, Amity and Eden are great names. As per I took many polaroids, here are a few:

She wants what she can't have...

Another one of London's outdoor festivals livened up the streets of Shoreditch last Sunday, and I was lucky enough to be there. The bill was appealingly broad with the likes of Kasai Masai and Molotov Jukebox. Anyone who knows me can tell you that the London transport system and I do not mix, so getting to this little gig under a bridge in torential rain was nothing short of a mission.

The highlight for me was seeing Molotov Jukebox, I had been waiting for God knows how long to see these guys and I was not disappointed. The intrepid music lover in me was blasted with the catchy I Need it as the opening number, followed by loads of my favourites.Double dare which was far better live than I could have imagined. I danced with my sex foot,(Anyone who has seen them will know what I mean) I clapped and sang along.  I was left wanting more when the set came to an end.  I cannot wait to see these guys again.

Aesthetic Intoxication

I have finally found the time to post some new pictures. My friends and I recently ventured to Birmingham for a Birthday/BBQ extravaganza. The resulting pictures from said night were taken using my beloved Polaroid Land Camera. In hindsight alcohol and analogue photography do not mix. Do keep a look out on here for the negative lifts I have been doing recently. In the meantime here are a few highlights from the night.

Sunshine, Polaroids and Bunting

Some of my favourite polaroids taken with the lovely Stefanie Valentine. There was lots of sunshine, bunting and arduous trekking.

There were looads of lovely old photographs crying out to be taken home at the vintage fair on Saturday. In the end I selected these little treasures...

The second one down is of particular interest to me because, the woman sat third to the right in my opinion has an uncanny resemblance to a good friend of mine, who goes by the name of Lauren Hughes. If you look closely and compare photos they have a similar grin and nose.Lauren if you have cracked the mystery of time travel you could have at least taken us along for the ride!

These ladies do not need a man to enjoy themselves. June 1931

A land girl perhaps?

Judy's Vintage Fair

This past saturday I attended Judy's vintage fair in Leamington. I bagged myself a polka dot shirt. It looks much cooler than how I have described it. I spent some time rummaging through baskets of old photographs and unearthed some beauties which I will scan later today. There was plenty to see and buy and my Terry's chocolate orange cupcake was heavenly. Highlight of the day was meeting Lola Lamour. She had a stunning voice, and I have to say I was a little starstruck.

Vintage dresses and wonky step ladders.

This is my favourite of the bunch.

Over the next few weeks I will be posting the images from my vintage and Royal wedding themed shoot. The model Stefanie Valentine was beyond brilliant. Could not have asked for a better day weather wise and the polaroids came out brilliantly. Loved playing around with the shadows and light. But maybe it was not wise standing on a rickety old ladder to take some shots.Big thanks to Katie for helping me out. Cannot wait to see your shots.

Backyard shoots.

Forgot to add this one to the tie blog. Love the golden glow of these lovely ladies.

Ties Galore

Cheeky shot of my tweed trousers, definately need to wear those bad boys more often.

I would also like to point out that, I am not at all jealous that Whittle managed to take a focused photo first time around.

I have never worn so many ties in one afternoon in my life. They were sexy ties though, well done whittle. It was a mad night and day in Nottingham, complete with excess spending, missed trains and plenty of polaroids.

It's you I'm thinking of.

Have been meaning to put these up for ages. Some lovely black and white shots here.Love the grainy effect that the film has. Shot in Banbury and Stoke. I have just purchased a portrait kit for this camera, so beware my sneaking up on you to take close up shots.

You're my river running high.

Started working on this a while ago, but gave up, finally finished it last night. Looks a bit naff just flat on the screen, but its pretty cool if you look at it in person. Never again will I attempt to draw fabric and netting. Based on an advert campaign with Dita Von Teese.

Skecth and Water colour.

The End is Nigh! Newark Airport

How could I forget the Naked Cowgirl in Times Square. I was too shocked to ask for a photograph myself.

" OMG thats the guy from that film"...."You know, that film, Perfume Story of a murderer"...."Um I've never seen it."

"Um excuse me were you in a film called Perfume?"

In the airport on the way back, I could not find a copy of the New York Times. In hindsight we were in Newark therefore no New York Times. A copy of The Record was purchased for 50 cents instead.
